Go to Hell… Ghana Ambassador to China told Nana Amakye Dede
Highlife legend Nana Amakye Dede in a discussion with Nana McBrown on United Showbiz revealed to the pundits that, the Ambassador to China (Edward Boateng) invited him to play a show in china during his tour in the US but cancelled the show on arrival.
Nana Amakye made this revelation on UTV in regards to the topic in the discussion of Legends, their life in the entertainment industry; before and after.
In narration, Nana Amake said he got a call from his manager, Akwasi Aboagye for a show in China in line with President Akuffo Addo’s visit to the country.
He then put a hold to his touring in the US and decided to come since it was a service to his country Ghana, but the show was cancelled by the Ambassador without his knowledge and when his management went further to ask for a compensation, the Ambassador asked him to do whatever he likes because he was not going to pay anything
He also added that his management asked the ambassador to pay for only his plane ticket but the Ambassador refuse and said he did not know that he (Amakye) was out of the country and he was not going to pay anything on request.
He concluded that most people especially, Ghanaian leaders (Politicians) take them for granted and do not take their crafts serious. For him, he thinks if a diplomatic person like him the Ambassador could do this, then they really don’t value them, he added.
Meanwhile, Kwame A-Plus who was on the show commended self-acclaimed DanceHall king Shatta Wale for his bold steps in dealing such happenings as a musician.
